All-Time Favorite Flannel Pajamas
Date: January 19, 2009
I absolutely love these flannel pajamas! I've had three pairs over the years and they are definitely worth the price. I wear them all winter long, and they always hold up beautifully wash after wash. The cut of the top is perfect... not too long and not too short. Soft, warm and comfortable -- the flannel pajama trifecta!
I love these pajamas. The flannel is so soft, and hasn't pilled up like others. My only comment, however, is that I think the sizes are true. I read other reviews prior to purchasing, and ordered a Medium (I'm a 6) based on the shrinkage factor. I don't recommend ordering up...there is plenty of room for shrinkage. I swim in these things (although I still love them).

30" inseam?
Date: February 26, 2010
I'm not considered very tall, but I definitely need a longer inseam than 30 inches-especially on cotton pjs! When are manufacturers going to realize we don't like "highwater" pajamas any more than we like wearing our jeans too short?!

These run big!
Date: January 17, 2010
Adorable jammies - bought them to match my robe which I love. Bought them in medium (I'm 5'4" and about 150 pounds - not a tiny person by any means) -- the pants were huge - about 4-5" too long, baggy, but snug in the waist (ok, I ate more than I should have this holiday season!). Too bad, because they're super cute. I love the robe, however, although it also runs large. Nice, soft flannel - Garnet Hill sells beautiful flannel, no doubt about that.
I have 3 pairs of these and just love them. However, last year, the sizing changed...a little shorter in the arms, a little narrower in pant legs. Normally a size 8, this year I ordered Medium instead of small. PJs seemed huge before washing but I took other reviewers advice and washed new pair on warm and dried with normal heat. They did shrink a lot and size is full, comfortable but not sloppy.

sleeves too short; beautiful fabric
Date: January 12, 2010
I ordered a size Small (6-8) which normally should be plenty big enough (I wear a size 4-6). The fabric quality is excellent but the sleeves are way too short (BEFORE washing) so I am returning. I think the product should be resized for U.S. sleeve length standards -- the longer the better in my opinion -- you can always roll sleeves up, but you can't make them longer!
I love flannel pajamas. I have to say I was worried when I first received them...the pants looked huge...I am a size 6 and ordered the mediums. When I tried them on the length was way too long. However, knowing that every pair of flannel pjs I have owned shrink with every wash, I decided to wash in warm water and dry in the dryer. They now fit perfect...still a little long and baggy but at least I won't be disappointed if they continue to shrink! I really like these pajamas.
I LOVE the color, love the fabric. The bad news: They shrank a lot, so get a size bigger. Also, the tags are really annoying: after a few months, the threads got itchy and even prickly. I cut off the tag on the pants and pulled out the threads, but left the one on the top-- and then that one started bothering me, too.

Thick, comfy PJs. I had to order a larger size as the shoulder/bust area is cut tight.

What a disappointment
Date: December 1, 2009
I bought a pair of these pajamas 10 years ago and they were my absolute favorites. I was so happy to get another pair after a few years of missing out because they were out of stock before I got around to ordering. But these pajamas are not the ones I bought previously. I compared them to the previous pair (which I still have) and the pants are the same except for the 6 extra inches of fabric at the bottom (there are tall people, I get it). But the top was narrower and the button holes at the edge of the placket (which was also narrower). Worst of all the sleeves were tapered and tight fitting. Looking over the other reviews I see comments that the pajamas are too loose and should be more closefitting. Well, classic pajamas are loose and boxy. If Garnet Hill is going to change the fit then they shouldn't sell them as "classic pajamas."
I ordered these with some trepidation, as many reviews complained that the flannel is not as nice as it used to be. Well, the old ones must have been amazing, because these are absolutely lovely! They are so soft and cozy, warm and wonderful. I completely recommend them.
I'm a size 6 and the smalls fit perfectly, though the pants are about 3" too long for me (yeah, I'm short).
In sum, these pajamas are fabulous and I can't wait to get a couple more pairs!!

Somewhat Disappointed
Date: October 29, 2009
I LOVED these when I opened them- great top, fits roomy, but just right for sleeping. The pants, however, were strange. The length from the waistband to the crotch was about 4 inches too long on me. I'm an average height (5'5) and it was uncomfortable to have the pants hit that high on my waist for the pant to fit. Sadly, these will go back :(

Comfy and Generously sized
Date: October 21, 2009
Most flannels do become more worn with each wash, that is part of the charm. These are no exception, they become softer and are great for lounging. I wear size 8's so I ordered the small and they are fine. I would say they are a bit boxy and not fitted on the pants which for pajamas is usually good but these were very generously sized, I would never order up a size in these.

Too short
Date: October 11, 2009
I was so pleased to receive these as a gift. The fabric is soft and the print fun. However, the pants are way too short. I notice the website says they have a 30 inch inseam---I need at least 32 before shrinkage. After one wash, they were puddle stomping length. I so wish I did not have to purchase men's pajamas to get a loose and flattering fit. Recommended---but only to short friends.

Original cut was better
Date: October 10, 2009
I love the soft, hefty flannel, and I love the prints. I have three pairs of these and wear them 9 months of the year. BUT I definitely prefer the earlier, more generous cut. I'm 5' 5" and 115 pounds, but my latest pair (in size small) is much skimpier than the pairs I purchased some years ago (and still wear). Please return to the more traditional cut!

Love these pajamas!

I bought these pajamas last year, and unfortunately only got one set. Now I am buying two more because they are my favorite pjs for winter. They get softer as you wash them.

Shrinkage
Date: September 24, 2009
I bought my PJ last winter, and I bought whole size up, normally I am wearing medium, so I bought it in large. The waistband was so tight that my friend who is wearing small size wasn't able to wear it :) had to change it. Then the shrinkage problem, it keeps shrinking every time I wash it :))) It's getting tighter and smaller and smaller... and looks so worn out like I had it for years :) but it's comfortable to sleep in.
These used to be my absolute favorite pajamas EVER. They were heads & shoulders above anyone else. rI would wear them year round; had to have several pairs so some could be in the wash and I still had a pair to wear. I gave them as Christmas gifts and regularly recommended them. That was up until about 3-4 years ago when the quality of the cotton flannel changed AND, even more importantly, Garnet Hill redesigned the fit. Instead of a generous unstructured fit that the majority of people like to sleep in, they changed the pajamas to be more form fitting and tighter in the hip and thigh....more like pajamas for a man than for a woman. It is one of my biggest disappointments and I no longer order these pajamas.

These pajamas fit well, feel great, but after a few washings, look extremely worn. I won't be wearing them next winter.
