We bought two pairs of these for my 3 yr old son for Christmas. Since there were a limited number of pairs left in the motifs I wanted, I bought one size up and one size down from his current size (9). Sure enough, like many other reviewers have mentioned, they run a full size large. The 8s fit him perfectly.
The manufacturer is Haflinger, a top of the line German clog-maker. I already wear their Grizzly clog every day in the winter, so I was very pleased to find out that they make these slippers for Garnet Hill. The details of the pairs I bought (rocket & dragon) are really cute, yet sturdy enough to hold up against a toddler! The slippers have tiny little dots all over the soles to help "grip" on our hardwood floors and can be worn with or without socks. My younger son will be the recipient of them when he grows up, too! Love these.

Wow. This was a disappointment. I read from other reviewers that these slippers ran big, so ordered on the down side. Both pairs are still nearly 2 inches too long! Cute slippers, though.

I ordered a pair of these slippers for my son. He wears size 9 children's shoes and when I checked his foot size using the linked shoe sizing chart it also showed size 9. His slippers arrived today and are about an inch and a quarter too long. The sizing isn't even close.

My son wore the Dragon slippers through his kindergarten years, and has worn the dog version through first grade.. (these are his "indoor shoes" at school). Santa brought the doggies and he was thrilled at the craftsmanship of the elves.

These are the cutest and well made slippers around. They keep the kids feet warm, there is a no slip bottom on them, so the kids are sliding around on the hard wood floors and the designs are great. Thanks for making such a well made, practical and cute product.

I purchased the bunny and rocket slippers for my 3 and 5 year-old. They are super cute and the kids loved the designs. I like the rubber bottoms. My kids wear these in the evenings and in the mornings to lounge around the house in. Not really practical for sleeping in - too warm! So far, they have kept up well. Happy with my purchase.

I purchased the boiled wool penguin slippers last December for my twin grandsons, age 6. The boys refused to wear the slippers and said they were 'too scratchy'. The boys won't wear underwear with tags, so let's just say that they are way too finicky and possibly other children won't mind the wool. I would wear them! The poor rating reflects my grandsons' opinion, not mine.

The dragon boiled wool slippers are one of the best purchases I've made for my little boy. He wore them throughout the winter months last year and early this year. I don't think that they'll fit him this coming winter season, so I may be ordering another pair. He loved these slippers. He asked me to put on his "dinousaur shoes". I highly recommend these shoes for the high quality of craftsmanship and because they're simply adorable!
