Review 1 for Garnet Hill Retro One-Piece Swimsuit
Great suit but needs a better liner
Date:June 3, 2014
This suit much like another GH suit of the same fabric (see reviews) needs a better liner. The suit itself is otherwise quite well designed, the pinky/peach color pink is lovely and looks great against cool skin tones. The design creates an hourglass shape. I kept the suit and am going to ask a seamstress to help me. All suits I've encountered as an adult have a double liner in the bottom half and this should too.

The colors were muted and not as seen on the screen. The size 10 was too long. I returned it for refund. From now on I'll buy bathing suits which I can examine and try on in a store. While this provider does provide UPS return labels, you are still charged a fee for returns..
I remember girdles, and this, ladies, is a girdle masquerading as a swimsuit. If you want structure, this is for you. Cute print, nice ruching. I am just about six feet tall and because of a scar want a swimsuit to come up higher than most do. What I was hoping is that by buying a larger-than-my-usual size I'd be able to stretch it longer, but alas, they anchor the bra in place so that you can't clip it out and refasten it down lower on the bodice to let the top of the bodice come up higher. A non-scarred tall person will wear this suit admirably, but I've had to return it.
