Natural muslin upholstery and crossed-leg detailing give this bench its casual yet sophisticated feel. Clean details include nailhead trim and matching piping to finish the look. Imported.

Let me start by saying that I love Garnet Hill, and have rarely ever been disappointed with their items. But this one is disappointing. I ordered this bench with "ivory" legs and "natural" linen seat. The color of the legs is not ivory at all. It's more of a tan/khaki color. I was intending to use it in my kitchen, which has off-white cabinetry, but the tan color of the legs is too big a contrast for that to work out. Also, the nail head trim is done poorly, with nails being at uneven intervals around the seat, and a few which look loose and ready to fall out. I bought the bench on sale, so the price was right--but the description (color) was inaccurate, and the quality is not up to usual GH standards. I'm contemplating returning it, but because it arrived in such a large shipping box, it will be hassle and will be expensive to do so.

Review 2 for Lacquer Cross Bench

This bench comes in three colors - ivory, black, and grey. The seat color doesn't change, the legs do. It would be really helpful if they had pictures of the non-ivory ones, not just swatches.
I ordered 2 of the ivory at a great price. I was really disappointed when I got it. The legs were not ivory at all as pictured - more like a khaki/light green. The construction itself looks solid. I did see some tiny cracks on the side (you can only see it on one of the zoomed up stock photos) meaning it's not as tightly assembled as the shown.
GH is known for good service. I'm in the process of returning them. Each bench comes in a HUGE box so it is a hassle to arrange a return.
