McKinley Hand-Knit Sweater

A mix of thick and thin yarns come together to give this open-stitch sweater great texture and a real style presence. Chunky and comfy, this is the crew to reach for when you want to make (or give) a cozy style statement. The open weave lets the underlayer show through — whether that's a neutral tank or a tee is up to you. Long sleeves. Hip length. Wool/acrylic. Imported.

Chunky, but pretty
Date:February 14, 2014
This sweater is a bit thick, but the openness of the knit helps to not make you look thick too. The knit is very neat and unusual, but I'm hoping the white has more sheen to the yarn (as it seems to in the photo). Fit is TTS.

This sweater is warm but too fuzzy and it shed. I sneezed a lot and then returned it.

I really like this sweater. I've worn it once to a lady's tea and received a lot of compliments. The only problem is that the yarn is so fluffy, it forms big pills that can be pulled off.

Fabulous Sweater
Date:November 26, 2013
Love the chunky yet open weave on the sweater. Looks great dressed up or paired with skinnies and boots. Small fit well, not super fitted just a little loose but not baggy, overwhelming like many of the sweaters this season. A very unique piece that I will be able to wear for years.

great sweater
Date:November 15, 2013
I love chunky sweaters and this is a great one to have. It is made of soft yarn and the proportions are just right, no bulkiness anywhere. It needs a tank top underneath because of the open weave.

Pretty, however...
Date:November 8, 2013
This sweater is very beautiful and fits true to size. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a light, soft sweater, this is not it. Though it is an open-knit, it is quite heavy in terms of actual weight: I felt like I was carrying around a heavy coat when I put this on. I guess I was expecting a fluffy, light knit,so I returned. If you know you are getting a substantial sweater, though, you will probably love this!
