I am a fan of Eileen Fisher clothing. This dress is so comfortable and hides all flaws. With the right shoes and accessories, this versatile dress can be worn almost anywhere. It may be a little sheer but that's why slips were invented! I washed this dress and hung it on the line and it still looks great. Thanks

Very forgiving little black dress. I just throw it on with a nice necklace and voila, ready for work or party. This dress defines my waist and skims loosely over my hips. I wear a size 6 and the XS is perfect. My 36B bosom fills out the top -- a very flat-chested woman might find it a little baggy up on top.

Versatlity and comfort

I loved this dress the moment I tried it on. It is very attractive and can be dressed up, used for work, or used for a casual day about town. I tend to go smaller with the Eileen Fisher pieces I buy, so while typically a size 6 or on occasion an 8, I purchased the XS of this dress, and it fits perfectly.

Unflattering Fit

After ordering and really loving some of the other Eileen Fisher pieces, I ordered the Silk Jersey Surplice Dress in Rye. Wow - love the color! But the material and fit turned out to be less than optimal. The silk jersey material was too light and gauzy for my taste and the dress looked shapeless and unflattering on me. This particular piece simply did not work.
