The concept for this dress was terrific but it falls flat due to the lack of prettier colors offered and the fact that you need to wear a cami or something underneath unless you want to show a lot of cleavage. I bought this hoping to wear it on the sweltering hot days during the summer months in Baja but can't since I would have to wear that second layer underneath. Would love to see Garnet Hill have this dress made a little differently based on this and other comments. I'd consider buying it then!

not what I expected

Fabric thin, much lighter gray than picture. Looks like a nightgown on and still haven't decided what to do with it. Too much money for this dress.
Love the dress, the material, cute... however way too big for a small. X-small sold out in the gray... but I'm thinking that would be too big also. Hopefully I can find a similar dress from Garnet Hill that will fit my small frame.
Well I bought this dress with the impression it would fit like the model. I was wrong!!! I think it works best for taller women. It runs very large too. I'm petite and the xs was ridiculously large. Oh well too bad cause it would have been a great dress especially at that price.

Great dress, need a belt

This dress is really great. I got it in the mail yesterday and wore it today with casual boots, and will definitely wear it with cute flats this summer. The tie belt is the only less than wonderful aspect. It just doesn't keep the blousiness of the dress in tact and winds up looking less cute. A thin belt like in the picture would be great.

This is a really cute dress! I was slightly disappointed that it's such a plain cotton material. From the picture, I was expecting a smoother, nicer cotton. It's very similar to a standard cotton t-shirt. But still a cute dress none the less. I wear a size 8 mostly and the small was perfect. Not tight at all and not too big. I tried it on and tied the belt low on the hips and blousened out the top. That allowed to shorten the length for me above the knee and gave it a very cute, casual look. You could get away with not wearing a camisole underneath. But I think it would be pretty to add the extra layer.
This is a soft thin .... i know I am going to wear all the time dress, Sizing , I am a 6/8 top 8/10 bottom the small was too snug in the bum ! I have sent back for a medium, the top half is a nice large scoop neck .... will go well with any tank under or alone. ( if you dare)

Great Dress

This is a very cute dress. I ordered the gray and really like the color. I can't wait to wear it on vacation in a couple of weeks, and then all Spring, Summer, and Fall. I thought the sleeves might be a little big, based on the picture, but they fit nicely and aren't too loose. Garnet Hill is my new favorite site!

Wasn't sure at all when I ordered this, but took a chance and asked for both colors and am glad I did. Not only is this a wear everywhere, very flattering little dress, if you have a little height, it will also work as a tunic with pants and skirts. Agree totally. This piece is a find.
My new dress arrived today and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I'm 5'11", so it hits just above the knee, and drapes nicely. Definitely something that I will love wearing once the weather warms up. Will look great with some cute sandals or flip-flops.

Oh What a Dress!

This dress is a real find. It's shape is modern but not extreme. It has a European look to it that is just fantastic. It's easy on the curves so it's very flattering and the fabric is silky and smooth. It's low cut so you'll need a cami under it as shown, but that's part of the charm. Great price, too! I'm going to order the other color tonight!
