love/hate relationship

i have a love/hate relationship with these rugs (I have two):
Love: The colors are beautiful; the texture on the toesies is great.
Hate: Every time I launder them, scads and scads of gray-ish lint-ish gook is left in the washer. It's almost like wet newspaper -- wads of it. I guess it's lint? Not sure. One of the rugs has to be placed with a certain side face down because of a zillion loose threads -- it looks quite tattered on that one side. But, the other side looks greaaaaaat.
Very odd.

I bought this rug for my boys' bathroom and it has held up very well. I have washed it several times (delicate cycle) and it has NOT fallen apart. This rug is VERY abused when it goes into the wash: toothpaste drips, and heaven only knows what else my 11- and 8-year old boys get on it! Now that it's on sale, I'm ordering a 2nd so that I can rotate one in while the other is being washed. I have the rectangular size. Maybe the reviewers who have had problems have had the circle or oval size?

This rug is so cute - looks great with the whole set-up (bought bath mat, towels and shower curtain)... one wash and it completely fell apart!!! I could not believe it - shredded... so maybe the quality has gone down in this product b/c the last few have said the same. What made me write this is that I just washed the bath mat and that fell apart too!!! I am shocked! Maybe it needs to go in a guest bath that never gets used - but I have it in my kids bath and it needs to be able to get washed! So bummed - pricey ensemble to have to get rid of half of it!

I loved this rug until I washed it.I followed the directions and when I got it out of the dryer patches of it fell apart.Its a great rug just don't wash it.

I bought a couple of the round bath mats last year and love love love them! They're thick, absorbent, and wash well. I really like that they're reversible (I don't care for latex-backed mats). Truly great mats all around.

I have the round bath mat, and I actually have gotten more than a few compliments on it.... on a bath mat! I have a very small bathroom and the shape makes it look bigger and it washes perfectly.
