Very pretty backpack!

Very pretty backpack...got the pretty pony one--It also seems very strong..great fabric that looks like it will last. Monogramming looks very nice on it too--got the blue on it! She loves it--a kindergardener--and it fits perfectly--at first i thought to get the bigger so it would last but this one is a very good size..it is not like the tiny preschool bags but not huge on her..and fits plenty. As another said the lunch box hooked on to it is difficult because it isn't strong and also makes it pull the backpack lower a little--she just carries it separatly most of the time...Overall a beautiful really cute backpack..you won't be disappointed!

Great backpack

Love the vibrant colors of the bug backpack. My son has been using it everyday to bring his clothes to the beach. He is looking forward to wearing it to school when he rides the bus for the first time. My only issue is the velcro on the lunchbag isn't very strong and it comes off the rings if you have a lot in it. other than that is is a great bag!

We are so exited about our new backpack. My boy is so excited about the organizer in the front. I like that it has different compartments to keep stuff organized. I especially like that the matching lunch box can clip on to the backpack! There is never enough room for lunch box inside! I'd like to see more patterns in the future, but otherwise, way to go Garnet Hill!

Love this item!!

I purchased two for my twins this past winter for preschool. They are perfect. They hold up well and wipe off easy, have room for a regular size folder (which other ones I purchased from the gap, labelled preschool, did not without bending the folders) and still hold other items, but not too big on their little bodies. I am getting ready to puchase one for my niece this fall for preschool.

A disappointment!

I am usually very fond of the quality of Garnet Hill merchandise. I was saddened to find this backpack of such poor quality. The material is not hardy backpack material. The zippers don't open the main compartment completely so every time my six year old attempts to open it, the zipper pulls the sides of the pack in a worrisome way. I can see as time goes by the zippers will break or the compartment will rip. The only thing going for this pack is the great color ideas/schemes.

Perfect for Kindergarten

I bought this for my daughter to take to kindergarten along with the matching lunch box. It is adorable, well made and the perfect size for my little girl. She loves that it has her name on it and I know it will stand out at school.

This is great quality and perfect for smaller children. My little girl is 3 1/2 and loves it-the size should last her for a couple of years. Adorable!

This backpack is adorable. I got my daughter the big dot print, and it seems to be very good quality. She won't use it for a while, but I'm sure she'll love it when she does.

Garnet Hill Backpacks

I purchased the Jr. Backpack for my 5 year old daughter in the painted pony print (for kindergarten) and the full size backpack in the cocoa/aqua spotty fabric for my 7 year old daughter for 2nd grade. The Jr. size seems to the the right size for a 5 year old, not too large but big enough to fit a homework folder. Both are very light weight and well made. My girls like all the pockets. My only gripe is that the lunch box is a little small for a child who takes their lunch from home daily, but we will make it work. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

This backpack has everything you need! Lots of little pockets and 2 zippered sections. Just wish it was a little smaller, since it is a Jr. size.

Unique Purchase

We were excited to finally find toddler friendly packs that are not covered with cartoon characters. My son loves the car pack. He is quite proud to where it to school. It is durable and a good fit for a toddler.

Great Junior Backpack!!
|
Date: July 22, 2009

Our daughter, who is going into first grade, is small for her age and has narrow shoulders and we have had a hard time finding a backpack to fit her; the adjustable straps and front buckle help to evenly distribute the weight of the pack on her back and does not weigh her down like other packs we have tried. The backpack was supposed to wait until the school year started this fall but she couldn't wait to wear it and loves the great "horsey" design and vibrant colors. We also got the lunchpack with the backpack and are extremely happy with the set!!

I bought this for my three year old. It's a great size for the little guys without losing quality. I am so glad I bought it. Only sorry I didn't buy the matching lunchbox. I expect to have this backpack around for awhile!

I was very impressed with the monogramming, very good quality! My daughter loves butterflies and this one is absolutely perfect-she loves it!! We had a ball going through all of the pockets, and the ergonomic strap styling will definitely make it easier to carry!
