Simply Amazing!

These sheets are the most luxurious sheets I've ever owned! I have had modal fiber (better than silk, but now relegated to my second favorite), 1000 thread count, silk, ... you name it, I've slept on it. These are the best. Just lovely. I fall asleep faster, sleep better, and, unfortunately, don't want to get out of bed!
As with many quality flannel sheets, the first couple of times through the dryer will leave you with so much lint that you'll need to clean the trap twice. However, you won't notice any decrease in the luxe factor.
I've had mine for four months, and everyone wants a set! I've already given two sets as gifts.

Beautiful Sheets But They Shrunk!
|
Date: January 24, 2009
|
Out of the package, these sheets were some of the nicest I've purchased, including Sferra. Sleeping on them was a dream. Then I washed them. Even though I used the delicate cycle, warm (not hot) water and a special detergent specifically recommended for all of Eileen's clothing and home linens, the sheets still shrank more than I ever would have expected them to. I dried them on the low (no heat) setting and took them out when they were still slightly damp (incidentally, mine also shed all over the dryer for the first 3 washings), and yet the fitted sheet shrank so much it no longer fits the depth of my mattress (these sheets need to be cut a bit deeper to begin with). Now on the third washing, I've noticed the ends of the pillow cases beginning to shrink as well.
I would buy these again for the fabric, but would caution anyone with an extra deep mattress to be aware of the shrinkage.

Bamboo/Cotton Bedding

Not only is this product eco-friendly, it is amazingly comfortable to sleep on. The bamboo content actually keeps the sheets feeling cool and crisp which is great for warmer weather climates and those of us who get warm while sleeping. They also feel very soft to the skin and make relaxation much easier and quicker to reach.

All time favorite sheets

I'm very very picky about bedding, and these sheets are truly outstanding. I got the pure white and they are pure white, which I love. They are so crazy soft and comfortable. Mine did not shed excessive lint in the dryer. I've washed them twice and there's no evidence of pilling at all. Simply, these are the softest, warmest sheets ever. Garnet Hill was really great with customer service as well. Highly recommend these sheets and the company.

First wash & dry
|
Date: January 9, 2009

These sheets shed profusely in the first wash and dry cycle. I am already concerned about their longevity and they made a horrible mess. NOTHING in the care instructions on either website or package labelling mentions this -- and it should. If it continues into the second wash or appears to limit their durability, I will request their return. Generally I have loved Eileen Fisher products, both home and clothing.

I am a flannel sheet connoisseur, and these are hands down the best flannels I've ever purchased. They are softer than even the highest quality flannel I've purchased from GH (and that was pretty nice). I didn't want to get out of bed this morning! Really comfy, can't say enough about these sheets.

I didn't want to get out of bed!

I obsessed long and hard over the self indulgence involved in buying these sheets. I live on a fixed income and they're way over my 'class level'.
I got a comforter cover for my light down comforter, a bottom sheet and two pillowcases. But after I washed them and crawled into bed last night in my birthday suit (best way to enjoy them), I agreed with Jacktastic's husband: they're worth every penny--the most sensuously cozy sleep experience I've ever had: much softer and lighter than regular flannel by a long shot. Only problem is, as I noted above, I didn't want to get out of bed this morning!
I'm hoping they stay as wonderful as last night after repeated washings. Go for it--you're worth it!!

Best Flannel

I just got the fitted sheet and it is a dream to sleep on. I also bought the regular GH flannel to compare and the Eileen Fisher is MUCH softer. Also fits my king mattress very well which has a plush pillow top but isn't too deep. Well worth the price.

I bought the queen fitted sheet and a set of pillowcases. The flannel is silky soft. Absolute heaven.
