I have this dress in three colors now, and it is my "go to" dress for travel and around town. It is great with leggings or tights, and a sweater, wrap, or scarf gives it versatility.

This is areally flattering dress that runs true to size, has perfect weight and drape, and launders nicely. Wish it came in more colors.

This dress is just what I was looking for....the fit perfect for a pear shaped person. It does not cling. The color rye is very nice and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Try finding a plain black cotton dress and you'll see why I gave this relatively expensive dress 5 stars...it's worth it. In terms of cost per wear, I'm sure it's even a bargain. My only complaint is the cap sleeves---I don't like them, so I cut them out. Easy. Simple. And looks better under a cardigan.

I have this dress in both the black and the blue-gray. I hemmed them both by a good six inches and wear them as tunics over pants and capris. I am only 5'1" and the "dress" length was not flattering for my height. However, as tunics, I am always complimented on the classic style. I love the feel and drape of the fabric.

Love, love this dress! It is my 'go-to' dress. It is perfect for daytime fun and casual evenings. It is also fabulous to travel in too. It will be my absolute must in my suitcase this spring and summer. I got a small (I'm typically an athletic 8) and did need to get it hemmed above the knee. I also wear it with leggings, pretty scarf and cute ballet flats. I always get compliments on my outfit. I just ordered another one!

I wanted to love this dress after so many positive reviews, but alas, I did not. It was too long and flimsy and didn't feel as classy on as it looked in the catalogue. I know Eileen Fisher is popular, but I don't think her styling looks very flattering on me. I recently bought a Garnet Hill little black dress for half the price and I love that one.
I think I will stick to the designers that work best for me.

I love this dress! I ordered the black and came back for a second color, even though it's at the top of my price range, because it is well made and versatile. The fit is more of a "swing dress" kind of fit than the photo suggests, but that works for me!

I wanted this dress so badly and was really looking forward to a casual, cute dress for spring/summer. I took a chance and spent way too much ordering it, and was So disappointed! The dress is just awful! It fits like a sack, no shape to it at all. I also really don't like the stretchy kind of fabric, it would have been nicer in regular t shirt fabric. I am 5'4", 105 lbs and ordered a petite 4 and was swimming in it. And even the petite length went well past my knees. Super super unflattering awful dress!
But the colour, Rye, is fantastic! I did love that about it.

I'm a cargo pants kind of gal, but I needed something for casual lunches and dinners with friends. This dress fits the bill very well. I would have given 5 stars, but one of the two dresses I purchased faded in patches. I don't use bleach, and I washed it on the delicate cycle in cold, so I don't know how it happened, but it's disappointing to spend so much on a cotton dress and have that happen.

Read the reviews before purchasing so decided to go with a PM to try and mitigate the length issue. The dress is definitely longer than picture but it is so comfortable that I decided to keep it. My complaint about this dress is that after one washing It has already begun to fade. . I am keeping it because it is so comfortable but the quality is not what it should be coming from Eileen Fisher. Also for those concerned about the length, one washing takes off about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the length of the dress.
