First time to have tried linen sheets Date: February 25, 2010
I plan to write another review a couple months out from today, but wanted to write my first initial impression of my first set of eileen fisher linen sheets. First, I love the look of them, but I am not used to sleeping on linen. To me I don't think they feel as soft as I had expected from reading all of the reviews. They have only been washed once. I also notice the fitted sheet does not stay real "fitted" after a few nights of sleep, I guess that is kind of expected with linen. But I am mainly noticing that the sheets do not feel soft the way cotton does. Maybe it is something I need to get used to. I will write another review 2 or 3 months from now and rate Eileen Fisher's linen sheets again.

A MUST have! Date: October 16, 2009
I was a little hesitant to purchase this, as years ago when Martha Stewart sold items through her catalog, I bought a small fortune in her linen items. I wasn't that crazy about them as they were fairly coarse and not terribly comfy, (or durable for that matter). Also, I prefer white linens and all there was here at Garnet Hill in the size I needed was the light blue.

Well, I'll tell you, this is one of my favorite purchases of all times. The weave is very soft and comfortable, the color is very soothing and relaxing to the eye, but my favorite part is the unfinished hems. I fell like I'm sleeping in the best feeling worn-in (in a good way) good old linens from days of yore.

Spoiled by these sheets Date: October 11, 2009
I bought a set of these on sale a few months back, and just purchased 2 more sets. Now I know why the best "linens" are linen! These are soft from the beginning and become softer as laundered. I think I am spoiled and will never want cotton sheets again, regardless of the thread count!

I like these. Date: July 23, 2009
I like these sheets. The feel reminds me of 'Flax' Brand clothing that has been washed many times. Its comfortable to the touch, and a great choice for summer bedding. Definitely recommend.

Bought these sheets last year and I love them, I'd never had linen sheets before and now I'm hooked. I never wanted to switch out w/ my other sheets when it came time to wash these. Just bought my 2nd set. These sheets are fabulous.

Surprisingly soft Date: July 22, 2009
Eileen Fisher's linen sheets are surprisingly soft given their crisp appearance. I've bought these before and they hold up pretty well in the wash. It wasn't a problem for me, but the sheets in Muslin are much lighter than they appear in the photo, and are lighter even than the EF Muslin gauze blanket.

frustrated with quality vs price Date: April 5, 2009
We have had these sheets for about 1 year.. they create a lot of lint and the fitted sheet has worn so thin that it has ripped in a couple places... For the price of these sheets and that they claim they get softer over time I would expect them to last longer then one year.
I love linen sheets and the last set I had last about 10 years with no lint...

Yummy but Shorty Date: March 14, 2009
My review is of the comforter cover. It is soft and sumptuous, but Eileen would have done me a favor if she'd created an actual queen size cover rather than a full/queen combo, which really would be best on a full and is a bit short for a queen on the sides. If it was about 4 inches wider I'd be thrilled.

Worth the splurge! Date: February 6, 2009
I've always wanted linen sheets, and these fit the bill. They are a medium weight, not like cotton sheets, and feel so luxe on the bed. I prefer a crisp rather than soft sheet, and I'm comfortable with these. After washing, they do get gently wrinkled, but that is part of the "relaxed" charm, and doesn't detract from the comfort.

pure decadent luxury Date: February 3, 2009
these are the best pure linen sheets I have ever purchased - normally it takes years to get my linen sheets this soft & welcoming. these sheets arrive that way & are pure pleasure from day one. The lightly fringed hems are a nice touch & make these sheets a little more casual than the traditional hemstiched linen sheets. these sheets will be on my bed every day from now on!

For the sale price very nice linen sheets--you can find better but for a lot more money. A selection of nice colors, prewashed for softness and overall decent quality. I love linen sheets--perfect in the summer as they are much cooler than cotton. The texture of linen is wonderful too.

Nice, but Date: January 30, 2009
These are nice, but the fitted sheet didn't do the job on my premium mattress. Although the corners fit, the sides and ends didn't have enough fabric too tuck under. Too expensive for that funky look

Lovely linen sheets Date: January 30, 2009
We discovered linen sheets by accident when we bought some on sale a few years ago just because we liked the color so much. They are sooooo wonderful for snuggly relaxing sleep! Kind of like they say about silk, linen is cool in summer and warm in winter (there's never that cold shock when you first get into bed on a cold night!). Pure linen sheets are very hard to find, and are usually quite expensive when you do find them. We have bought some of these here at the regular price and quite a few more since they have gone on sale as we love them so much, and the sale price is an excellent bargain. We now have them in every color but blue - highly recommended!

My husband hates anything heavy on the bed, so my comforter cover is light, but this one has a nice visual weight and a nice texture. It has a lovely color which I can mix with other Eileen Fisher colors (they mix very well together) I am very happy with it, and would recommend it to my friends.

Oh my goodness... Date: January 25, 2009
I'd heard pure linen bedding was the best but had no idea how heavenly it would be. The sheets and cases are expensive, yes, but oh so worth it. The washed linen launders beautifully and gets better and softer with each washing. I'm told linen lasts forever so the initial expense should be worth the investment. Since we do spend a good part of our life sleeping, there's one more reason to enjoy comfy and luxurious bedding!

Love the weight of this! Date: January 23, 2009
I have this product and love it. It's very light weight and I use it in winter with a down comforter at the end of the bed and in the summer take that off. Washed well. Wish there were more options of a patterned bedskirt to go with it. I know Eileen Fisher doesn't do patterns, but maybe another company could supply something to coordinate.

I read about the advantages of linen sheets in Flanagan's Smart Home (cooler, more breathable, & better for the environment than cotton) and thought I would give these a whirl. I'm so glad that I did, because the comfort is extraordinary; they are an indulgence that I look forward to every night! I purchased the Rosewater color and it translates even prettier in person. My husband is not offended in the least to sleep on these "pink sheets!"

As with all other Eilleen Fisher products, the quality was incredible. I was disappointed with the color however. I ordered the pale blue set but the color was too pale that it did not make any kind of statement - bland is all I can say.
