I had my eye on this FOREVER! So, when it went on sale, I couldn't pass it up. I am about 5' 9" and ordered an 8. It falls way below my knees and is still too roomy to look flattering. I wish so badly it would work, but I will most likely end up donating it.

Poor fit

I ordered this in a size 4 and I don't believe it's a true size 4. The dress was way too big and shapeless. Even with the sash, the dress just wasn't very flattering. A major disappointment for me because I really wanted to like it.

Great addition to wardrobe. I have this in the white which requires weaing over jeans or cropped leggings and a belt is a must - but very cute.

almost perfect

I bought this shirtdress in the fig grey color, which is gorgeous. I love the sleeve lengths and the finish of the sleeves and neckline. Like other reviewers, I found it longer on me than it appears in the photo (what? I'm not as tall as the model?). It would have been nice if it were available in petite sizes. Still, I have worn it with jeans and boots and alone as a dress. Almost perfect.

Great Dress

I do really like this dress. I don't like it over jeans, but I get lots of compliments with a turtleneck and leggings. I can't wait until summer to wear it on it's own with a pretty little lace slip underneath. It is a little bit longer than I expected and the fabric is fairly thin, but I like layers. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a versatile dress that can be worn throughout the seasons.

Material is very thin. Great for Az weather. Might look better in the darker color so you do not see your flesh through the material. If your arms are a little on the thick side then this will feel too tight as did mine. Drop 5-10 and you should have no problems. It fit everywhere else just fine. True to size so don't forget to measure. I'm glad I did not pay full price. I love Garnet Hill products and will continue to buy the unique products only they offer.

I purchased the fig last summer and loved it so much I just bought the black AND white ones. I wore it on it's own and with jeans (super skinny ones!) and it looked fabulous. It does fit large, though. I bought an 8 and ended up with a 4. The material is super soft and nice and thin so it's not too bulky.

Not what I expected

I am in the mood to try something new, and this looks interesting, but the fabric is just not what I was expecting. The material is so thin I can see my hand through it, and I can't imagine wearing it as a dress. I tried it on over some jeans and I felt like I was wearing a stark white bed sheet. This one doesn't work for me. Maybe the same thing in a heavier linen/cotton blend might have felt better to me. At any rate, I still want something like this to show off my snazzy new Garnet Hill belts!

Great Dress

I get lots of complements on this dress. It doesn't really look that great over jeans, like on the model (or maybe just on me), but it is great by itself or with leggings.
