Joseph would have preferred this over the coat:) Date: February 2, 2009
The punch of color and craftsman ship makes this item the heirloom and inspiration at a friend's home. I was enamored by the vibrance it displayed and it has the ability to 'wake-up' any monotony. The colors are all grown up with every piece distinguished by another. Such a grand palette and mastery are bestowed to anyone who purchases this, and will follow generations during story time and anytime.

This throw will get you "hooked" on crochet! Date: January 21, 2009
The Haverhill afghan throw is such a beautiful work of hand crochet, it inspired me to visit a local yarn shop and learn crochet! I purchased the throw, and since its cousin, the Haverhill Afghan Scarf, sold out early, I've enrolled in a crochet class to make one! The class' description begins, "We were so inspired by a beautiful hand-crocheted piece we saw in a Garnet Hill catalog that we decided to make our own!" I was hooked immediately.

The Haverhill throw in the spice colors is as rich and beautiful "in person" as in the photos. I love the color combinations and the wool is soft and luxurious feeling.

Beautiful "heirloom" like piece Date: January 21, 2009
I love the throw. I have wanted it forever and finally got it and the pillow in spice mulit. The colors are beautiful, the workmanship is beautiful, and contrary to other reviewers I find it soft and lovely (not itchy or rough at all). I love it so much that I am going to get it in the other color. It is wonderful and reminds me of something my great-grandmother would have made!

As seen in Marley and Me!!! Date: January 19, 2009
I ordered this blanket in the color spice a year ago as a gift to myself and our new home. I get compliments on it whenever anyone enters our home. The colors are striking!!
My sister and I recently went to see the movie Marley and Me and if you are watching closely you will see the Haverhill Afghan pillows in the background on the corners of their bench in their home. My sis saw it and proclaimed, pointing to the screen.."that's the same as yours!! The pillows, the pillows!"
I knew I had good taste!!

I love this throw Date: January 19, 2009
This is truly an awesome throw. It is so beautifully constructed, warm and it looks great. It adds a bit of "modern homespun" style to the family room. I agree that it is not as soft as some throws, it is still very comfortable. (after all, wool is wool). I love it, my family loves it and our friends are always commenting on how great it looks. It will become a family heirloom - I have no doubt.

This Afghan throw is crafted with not only natural soft yarns, but the colors reflect natures harmony. This plush afghan is stunnungly subtle from the feel of it's fibers to the alluring effect of it's color scheme. You will undoubtly feel warm and luxurious while either sleeping or relaxing beneath it.

Fantastic, Flawless, & Functional Fun! Date: January 5, 2009
I have had this throw (in Spice) for only a week now, and already I cannot imagine our living room without it. A little enthusiastic, am I? You betcha! This piece of fine craftsmanship goes well above and beyond any of the already lofty expectations that I'd had for it, while waiting impatiently for its arrival on our doorstep. The quality is unsurpassed, the construction is tight, the detail is lovingly involved, the colors are woven in deep and rich welcoming tones, the weight is warm and heavy for its dainty depth, and the overall size is generous... plenty of room underneath for snuggling made for two! And while some reviewers are making mention of the wools scratchiness, I can lay claim to not having any complaints in that department. It feels like a typical wool throw, I'd say... even less scratchy than I might have expected! Overall, I am 110% fully pleased with this Garnet Hill spectacular piece of work, and I would and will recommend it to everyone I know who is in need of a little extra warmth with that special heirloom-quality vintage appeal! Way to go, Garnet Hill! You've outdone yourselves in quality and selection, yet again! :)

Beautiful but ... Date: January 1, 2009
Have wanted this throw for long time, finally bought it as a gift for my wedding anniversary, but I was disappointed with the rough texture and some kind of smell that came with the wool. I just couldn't stand it, and after much consideration, I've to return it even though I love this one of a kind design.

Wanted it for years; bought it in 2007 as a gift for my sister; just reordered. Lovely, painstaking workmanship; beautiful, rich colors in the soft yarns. Very warm to wrap up in and beautiful to display. The amazing fact that the colors are an exact match for the upholstery and decor ices the cake! It's great art in its contemporary setting--folded, not thrown, on the leather couch.

Pretty BUT Date: December 2, 2008
Very pretty throw; spice. However buyer needs to be aware that this throw is not a very soft one. Typical wool, it's a tad scratchy. I'm hoping that after a washing: Dry Clean Only, that this will relax the fibers. The colors are vibrant with more orange and greens than expected but this provides a nostalgic warmth and cozy appeal. Despite the feel the look is a knockout and a welcome keeper.

I wanted this for years and finally caved. I'm glad I did, it is worth every penny! It is just as gorgeous in person as it is in the catalog. The colors are absolutely stunning and it is so well made. It is wool and since my kids have an aversion to wool, they won't cuddle up in it but they do like it over their feet and it keeps them cozy. It is worth it if nothing more than thrown over the arm of your chair to add color to a room. No, seriously...it's that pretty!

I love this throw because it looks like an heirloom, but has a fairly modern aesthetic. I have two of them folded at the bottom of twin beds in our guest room. I started with one and loved it so much, I ordered another. The colors are fantastic.

I first purchased the "spice multi" color of this afghan. It is so beautiful that I had to have the pillow that matches it. Then I saw the scarf--so.....I now have that too! I wish there was a hat to go with the scarf. These are such wonderful, classic, heirloom pieces!
