My first reason for purchase of the All-Silk Comforter? I sought allergy relief, mainly from dust mites. I didn't know at the time that silk is naturally inhospitable to dust-mites. Now I cannot sleep without my 'blankie'. So soft! So truly worthy of the name "comforter"! You won't ever regret this purchase. Even better, the amazing price for such luxury and quality.

i already owned a silk comforter that is made in germany. i wanted to add another one so purchased this one and was very disappointed with its quality. besides i have not found a comforter cover that would work with these measurements (queen 86x86). also if you are sensitive to odors it takes some time to get rid of the -typical but intense- silk smell. btw my other german made comforter did not have that smell from the beginning. overall disappointed.

Not what they used to be

Over the years I have purchsed over 10 of these comforters and been very happy with them - hence the constant reorders. All of the comforters I purchased prior to this last order were made in Germany and were of outstanding quality. The current ones on offer were a HUGE disappointment. They were made in China and are far below the quality of the silk comforters from Germany that GH used to offer. The fabric is lower quality and construction is not nearly as nice as the earlier catalog version. Bring back the German comforters please! (I suppose if you hadn't seen the German ones you might think that these are ok but they are very definitely several rungs down on the ladder.)

I grew up with silk comforters, as it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer, it's the favorite choice in East Asia. My only complaint was the smell that came with the brand new comforter, but a note that was enclosed states that it's normal. I also had hoped that it's not made in China, as quality assurance is doubtful. But as with anything I bought from Garnet Hill, I'm quite happy with this purchase.

Amazing ! Nothing better than silk

I just opened the box to with the Silk comforter yesterday. First it smelled a bit strange but after reading the comment about the comforter I put it on right away. Together with the Eileen Fisher linen comforter cover this is the very best sleeping experience I ever had. The silky feeling goes is felt through the linen, warms your body just enough even on a warm summer night close to the beach. I absolutely love this silk comforter and do not regret the amount of money I paid for it.

I am enjoying the rich smooth luxury of the king sized all silk comforter I purchased from Garent Hill. The comforter is nearly weightless yet provides wonderful warmth which is just right. Yes, I would buy another all silk comforter in a heart beat.

We bought this for a wedding gift & the Bride couldn't thank me enough! It's something they will cherish for a lifetime!
I purchased the all-silk comforter for my teenage daughter's bedroom and it's perfect. She is naturally warm, but we live in the Midwest where we truly have four seasons. Not wanting to change comforters with each season, the silk comforter is truly warmth without the weight, but not hot in the summer months. She was also looking for a look that wasn't bulky, so we got it all in one comforter.

This is one of my absolutely favorite purchases of any item ever! My husband and I had debated whether to buy a silk or down comforter, and we opted for the former since he is often allergic to things such as pet hair, and we LOVE this silk comforter. It heats up in seconds after you get into bed, and it is great for us since he's always overheated, and I'm always cold. We also don't like having layers and layers on us while we sleep, so we just end up using this comforter in a duvet cover, and sheets (no blanket), and we're good to go!
