RAVE REVIEW
Fantastic Must-Have
Date: January 28, 2009
This sweater is certainly one of the wisest purchases I have made. The cashmere is of subtle, soft quality and the fit is perfect. It ties around the waist to give a cute and fitted look. I purchased black and have found that I can wear it with various looks in my wardrobe. It can go casual with jeans or be dressed up with slacks or a long skirt. I continue to receive compliments regarding the style and softness of the sweater. Anyone who appreciates versatile, quality items within their closet will appreciate this sweater.

HAS A HOLE AFTER 1 WEAR
Date: March 9, 2010
I bought this in Ballet Pink and was surprised that it wasn't a bit more weighty as it appeared in the picture. Still, I bought it to go with a strapless dress from Garnet Hill and really liked the fit. I wore the sweater once and when I went to wear it again a few weeks later there was a small hole in the back where the threads were unraveling. Very disappointing. Maybe I just received a defected one. The hole is right in the middle of the back, so it's not anywhere that would snag on something.

No Regrets

This is the perfect piece for Southern California. It is light weight as you've read. I was not dissapointed with the fabric it is delicate - not for freezing climate. I am willing to buy other colors when they go on sale :)

The knit was translucent which you can't see from photo. I didn't find it flattering.

don't do it!
Date: February 6, 2010
Okay, so I bought this sweater on sale and all, but I expected so much more from Garnet Hill. When the package arrived, I could tell from the weight of the envelope that this was very lightweight, but when I took it out of the plastic bag I was astounded by how chintzy it felt. Yikes. The style is terrific and I love cashmere but this sweater is WHISPER-THIN - thus, I guess, the recommendation that it's "perfect for warm-weather layering". Maybe if the temp was near 100...Oprah, what were you thinking? Thanks anyway, Garnet Hill - I'm so disappointed, and it's going back... :(

Fit & Feel are perfect!
Date: January 16, 2010
I got mine a few days ago in soft aqua. I would love one in every color! You won't be disappointed.
I bought cornflower blue and ballet pink 2 years ago and still wear them often, usually over a tank. They are great for hot flashes :o) and way less stodgy than your typical twinset. I wash them by hand and dry them on a rack (no blocking or other fuss) and they are heaven. Today I bought 2 more - heather plum and pale aqua. Love 'em!
This sweater is a delight to wear - so soft and comfy, and flattering too. I purchased the dark gray heather, and now that other colors are on sale I am getting the dusty plum and another color as well!
It is not a thick cashmere, but I consider this a plus.
I'm glad that I bought this sweater since I know that I'll get plenty of use out of it. However, it was a much lighter weight and looser weave than it appeared to be in photos. I'm a little disappointed about that. That said, I agree with other reviewers that it's versatile, can be dressed up or down, and a potential wardrobe staple. It fits true to size. If you are looking for an extremely lightweight layer, it will definitely fit the bill for you.

Lovely sweater-one very tiny quibble
Date: December 4, 2009
Lovely sweater, extremely flattering, very soft and versatile. Just one little quibble---the wool is extremely fine---this is a plus in a way because it makes it more elegant, but it will require gentle careful handling and I am a little concerned it may not last as long as I like my sweaters to last. All the same, I recommend it highly for both casual and dressy occasions; will go with everything.
I love this sweater. It's so soft and light and warm. I ordered two. It goes great with tunics or tanks.

Very Versatile

This sweater works with everything. I just wish the sleeve length was about 1 inch longer and the fabric's weave a bit more dense for cooler weather.

I love this sweater! It looks great with everything and is the perfect thing to wear when I don't know what to wear. I am almost always cold even in spring and summer so this light weight sweater makes an excellent wrap that I can just shove into my bag if by a miracle, I get warm! In the winter, it makes a nice wrap to have on inside at parties and things when you don't know how warm it is going to be!

Awful
Date: October 14, 2009
Really, there is nothing nice to say about this sweater. It is so thin you can see through it. It runs small and it is extremely overpriced. It may be technically cashmere but nothing plush or comfortable about it.

Nice little sweater
Date: October 9, 2009
There seems to be some debate here as to whether this sweater looks good tied on larger women. It looks horrible tied on me--even my husband says so--and the fit was generous, not pulling. But it looks nice worn open. The cashmere is very thin, a wisp of fabric, but that can be perfect for some occasions. I got the dusty blue and it's much lighter than what's pictured on the website, but still a lovely color.

GREAT sweater!
Date: October 4, 2009
I adore this sweater! It's lightweight, very soft, and can be worn with just about anything. A great buy too!
I have eyed this sweater for awhile now and just got it in the black and dusty plum. So far I am really pleased. This will work well in the southern climat as it is not that heavy. Fit true to size in my case. Very pleased.
OMG - I totally LOVE this sweater! I have it in black and pink and love both colors. The sweater is so soft, lightweight, and looks great either open or tied. It's a perfect complement to sleeveless dresses. My one and only question is: Why don't you offer it in white or ivory?!?!?!
