Softest Thickest Flannel Ever Date: January 22, 2009
Purchased for myself. I loved the color but the quality is amazing. This is by far the softest, thickest flannel bedding I have ever bought. Crawling into these sheets during cold winter nights is such a treat. The fitted is generously sized that covering the mattress corners is a cinch, even with my thick mattress. They tend to shed quite a bit on first couple of washings but that seems to be typical of any quality thick flannel items.

With a marvelous choice of colors at a fair price, these sheets are truly a bargain. It isn't easy finding sheets for extra-long twin beds, so they are quite a find.

However, I strongly recommend putting them through at least one wash-dry cycle to remove the fuzz. I plan to buy more of them. They truly feel great!

Superior Quality, Warm, Luxurious! Date: February 4, 2010
I've been buying high-quality Portuguese sheets from a similar company for years and decided to try Garnet Hill's. These are excellent! Very dense and soft, with a silky finish. The deep-sea blue color is gorgeous and both my husband and I believe the bed is warmer from the moment we get into it compared to our other, very good, flannel sheets. We want more of these!

We use flannel sheets almost year-round and it's likely these will be too warm in the summer. But they will be perfect for the rest of the year.

I always ordered a queen flat sheet from the other store for our double bed because full-size sheets can be skimpy in width and I like plenty of overhang for warmth. But these Garnet Hill sheets are luxuriously sized: my queen sheet has about 18" of overhang on each side and looks silly! Next time, I'll buy the true size. The hard part will be deciding on the color(s)!

I washed the sheets before using them and did not get a surprising amount of lint, and the color didn't fade, so no problems there, either.

I love these flannel sheets and cases. The colors are gorgeous, and the soft flannel has minimal shrinkage and little to no lint. For me, these are 12-month sheets that never find their way back into the closet. Highly recommended!

BEST Flannel Sheets Ever! Date: December 16, 2009
I disagree with the negative reviews - these are the best flannel sheets ever! They are the softest and most cozy sheets, you will be thrilled with them. There are some pills generated when you wash them, but the fabric itself does not retain any pills and they are not hard whatsoever, they fall off easily when you fold them. I have bought many a set of flannel sheets that were horrible after washing, they would get hard pills that stuck on the surface and were very uncomfortable. No criticism of these sheets at all! GET THEM! You won't regret it!

Cozy Season After Season Date: November 29, 2009
I've purchased dozens of these wonderful flannel basics. The colors stay true and rich year after year even with very frequent washing. I have many pieces that are a decade old and still look and feel wonderful! The universal fitted sheets stay on even with restless sleepers. These keep you warm in the cold without overheating you in the warmer months. Great for the classic flannel lover!

Ordered these in the cocoa - they are true to color in the catalog and online (the only issue I've ever had with Garnet Hill) Would definitely buy again!

great quality and colors Date: September 17, 2009
I bought these sheets a year or two ago, used them a lot, and they still look new and feel soft! They also fit my deep mattress well -- no struggling to get the fitted sheet on. I wish GH still made the "curry" color, as I would have gotten those this year, for guests.

So soft Date: September 14, 2009
There were several warnings about the lint that comes from these sheets so I took them to my local laundry mat to wash/dry them the first time. There was quite a bit of fluff in the lint trap but not nearly as much as others seem to have had.
Forget the fluff though, these sheets are unbelievably soft! So nice, I love them. I bought them in graphite which is darker than I had hoped but a very nice rich color. I plan to order them in another color at some point because they are worth it.

dissapointed Date: March 30, 2009
Very dissapointed in these sheets. Althought they are thick and cozy they are very pilly and messy. Unacceptable that Garnet Hill would sell such a product.
I have washed them several times which seems to make them worse. The pilling becomes hard, tiny little balls that do not come off. Yuk!

Toasty, Soft and Comfortable Date: January 28, 2009
I liked these sheets so much that I immediately ordered a second set. . . . They are the softest flannel sheets I've ever had, and unlike the sets I've purchased in the past, they stay soft after washing! They don't become rough or start pilling. My hubby and I are trying to keep our thermostat down to save energy, and these sheets are a huge help!

My son went to medical school and wanted a nice looking bed. But his medical school was in frigid Wisconsin so I thought about what he should use and what color. I suggested he get flannel and get it in the graphite grey for a nice contemporary look with his off white down comforter and bleached wood headboard. He did and he loved his bed. I visit occasionally and do laundry. Looks like new. Good feel to this fabric.

I love the rich color of these sheets. They are soft and warm. I purchased two king sized flat sheets to co-ordinate with my sofa's and the colors of my living room. I have five dogs and needed something to cover the bottoms and arms to help keep off dirt. I tried different blankets but it looked sloppy because they were too heavy and did not stay tucked. These are extra long and brighten up my room.

We haven't had pilling problems, as some reviewers have noted (we got the bluegreen and dark red colors), and these are very soft. We've only had them for three months, so I can't comment on the long-term wear. I bought these for the kids, and will (when I'm ready to spring for them) probably buy the more expensive and heavier signature flannel for the grown-ups. The fitted sheets fit well and are elasticized all around.

These sheets are soft and warm. They did shed a lot with the first few washes ( = lint screen in the dryer was full of fluff!) but this has tapered off now. So far, I am quite pleased with these sheets.

these were the softest, coziest sheets I've ever slept in...until they began pilling...after washing, they lost the initial softness, even though they retained most of the weight, and the pilling didn't wash or dry away...I followed instructions, however, the performance of this fabric leaves me disappointed...I will use them a second time, then after the second washing, will make up my mind if they are worth keeping...
